Brooke Rozell with Amber

Brooke was born and raised in Katy, TX. Since she was a young child she has always been more at peace on the farm. Her parents raised and showed quarter horses till the mid 90's. Dr. White (her uncle) is a very successful vet in the Houston area for over 30 years which is where Brooke really gets her love and knowledge for such a variety of different animals.

She currently has 17 dogs (from Pomeranians to Staffordshire Bull Terrier and everything in between), 6 cats, 9 birds, 2 bearded dragons, 2 African spurred tortoises, 5 painted pond turtles, 2 box turtles, 2 rabbits, 2 horses, and a pond full of fish and frogs; thankfully there is a vet in the family! She has great experience at administering insulin and watching for any abnormalities in diabetic animals, as she herself has a diabetic dog.

Helping lost animals find their way home and finding homes for unwanted animals is a passion for Brooke. She has been very successful at doing this. She joined forces with another sitter to start www.katymissingpets.com to help reunite lost and found pets in Katy.

Brooke joined the team in 2003 in need of something to fill her free time, and she is now working full time in the Katy and West Houston areas.  Brooke was promoted to VP of our Pet Sitting Division in October of 2006. She is also Director of Franchise Training. On February 5, 2008 Brooke became an Accredited Pet Sitter (to learn more visit www.petsit.com) through Pet Sitters International. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, pets, reading, and gardening. Her favorite color is…PINK!

Cindy Svahn

Cindy has always had a love for animals. As a young girl she would try to save any creatures that she found. As time went on her love for animals only grew and soon it wasn't just small little creatures she would try to save. They were becoming larger and larger and her parent's home was beginning to get crowded. As a young teen her interest grew to include horses. She soon began to show horses and after college she started her career showing Quarter horses professionally. During this time she also worked for her brother-in-law Dr. White DVM as his lab and surgery tech. After an unfortunate accident she was unable to ride anymore so she began rescuing animals. Cindy and her daughter have accumulated quite a variety of animals, from reptiles, avian, feline, canine, equine, aquatic, lagomorph, and anything in between...please don't honk at her when she is stopped in the middle of the road trying to save another life.

Valerie Yake

Valerie was raised in Houston and grew up with a love for all animals. She had a black labrador as a child and enjoyed taking her on walks, giving her lots of attention, and bathing her in the wheelbarrow in the backyard. When she met her husband in college, they shared duties taking care of their sheltie puppy, who was a big source of joy and laughter. After a couple of years, another sheltie joined their first in the family.

In 2004, she began fostering dogs for Houston Sheltie Sanctuary. In addition to two shelties she adopted through the rescue group, she always has one foster dog in her home. She enjoys bringing each new dog into her home, showing them love, getting to know their personality, and seeing them get adopted by a wonderful new family. She and her husband have had 24 foster dogs in their home and plan to continue fostering more. Valerie cannot imagine her home or life without animals.
