Amy Burt with Pepper, Beau and Dickens

Amy Burt has been a resident of Fulshear for 5 years along with her husband, Skipper her dog, and as he says "entirely too many cats"!  She enjoys life in the country where she tends to her gardens and cherishes the wildlife right outside her door.

Amy worked in the pool and construction business for 4 years before requiring a more flexible schedule and thus joining Privileged Pets in July of 1998.  Amy was also a customer and that was the beginning of our relationship.

Amy's experience with domestic and exotic animals and especially her knowledge with puppies and geriatric pets has proven invaluable to our team.  If your "Privileged Pets" have not had the privilege of being cared for by her they are in for a treat!

Karmin Russo

Born in Pensacola, Fla. And moved to Houston at age 2, raised in Katy, Texas. I have become recently engaged to the love of my life, a former US Marine and my high school crush, John. I now reside in Katy, Texas with my three dogs. Gunney (Black & white Staffshire Terrier), Harrison (Black & white Shih- Tzu), and my newest addition I call my little “Princess”, Gwenneth (Tan & Black Pekingese).

My passion for horses and animals has always found me peace and success. Growing up I’ve had many dogs, cats, birds, fish, guinea pigs, ferrets, etc. For my 16th Birthday, I received my own horse to begin showing in upper level shows. This magnificent gift’s name was “Dangerous Pass”, a.k.a., Dudley. He had a Quarter horse racing background. Dudley was a beautiful 9 yr. old gelding. He was a gorgeous Appendix Bay who moved so gracefully it felt as if we were floating in mid-air!

Although he is now at rest, he and all of the others are loved and have a wonderful place in my life. By the time I was 7, I earned my first horse back riding lesson by handing my parents a report card full of straight A’s! I had dreamed of this day and little did I know this was just the beginning of great passion for riding/ training, responsibility, and a competitive spirit!

I began Equestrian training in Fulshear, TX. and moved on to the Great Southwest Equestrian Center where I trained with world re-noun instructors, competed in Equine Dressage and Hunter/ Jumper, and taught summer camps to pay for extra lessons and show fees. My love of horses led to my affiliation with the Trinity Valley Trail Riders and the Salt Grass Trial Riders for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Kickoff.

My career has consisted of Computer Graphics for Compaq and Commercial Real Estate for Chase Bank. Although I am successful in those fields, sitting in a cubicle and being inside became a bit too sedentary for me. I’ve found that pet sitting finds me very happy and free! I believe that animals keep us all comforted, entertained, and play a large role in our lives.

It is my goal to give the best care for your adorable pets along with your home a top priority. I hope you find us all to be there for you in your time of need. We truly love our work and I believe you will feel the difference when we care for your precious pets!

Accomplishments/Interests: Choreographer for Houston Oilers’ Jr. Dance/Cheer Squad; Dressage Horse Training; United Tae Kwon-Do (1 Belt away from my 1st Degree Black Belt); Bikram Hot Yoga

Goals: Dog Training, Try Outs for Texans Cheerleader Squad, and my own Franchise of Privileged Pets!!

Brooke Rozell with Amber

Brooke was born and raised in Katy, TX. Since she was a young child she has always been more at peace on the farm. Her parents raised and showed quarter horses till the mid 90's. Dr. White (her uncle) is a very successful vet in the Houston area for over 30 years which is where Brooke really gets her love and knowledge for such a variety of different animals.

She currently has 17 dogs (from Pomeranians to Goldens and everything in between), 3 cats, 9 birds, 2 bearded dragons, 2 African spurred tortoises, 4 painted pond turtles, 2 rabbits, 2 horses, 2 beta fish, and a pond full of fish and frogs; thankfully there is a vet in the family! She has great experience at administering insulin and watching for any abnormalities in diabetic animals, as she herself has a diabetic dog.

Helping lost animals find their way home and finding homes for unwanted animals is a passion for Brooke. She has been very successful at doing this. Brooke joined the team in 2003 in need of something to fill her free time, and she is now working full time in the Katy and West Houston areas.

Brooke was promoted to VP of our Pet Sitting Division in October of 2006. She is also Director of Franchise Training. On February 5, 2008 Brooke became an Accredited Pet Sitter (to learn more visit www.petsit.com) through Pet Sitters International. Brooke is also working hard to become 2008 Pet Sitter of the Year! She enjoys spending time with family, pets, reading, and gardening. Her favorite color is…PINK!
