Learn to Responsibly Control Your Dog with Our
Board & Train or In-Home Training Program

Jack Richards has been working with K-9’s since 1995 & 5 of those were training & handling his Partner, Egon, a German Shepherd import, for a police department here in the Houston area. Jack knows that with the training Egon had, that it could have saved his life one day. Realizing the importance of a trained dog, regardless of what the dog does, whether it is a household pet & companion or a working dog it all goes back to obedience. How often, have you called your dog back & he or she just ignores you? Too many times I am afraid. Not only could this cause you less stress & frustration but decreases the possibility of your pet running off for good or even worse being hit by a car. No gimmicks. Just your dog accepting you as the master or as he knew it in the pack days the Alpha dog, his leader.

Training Background

Jack has spoken to hundreds of groups such as, scouts & churches as well as schools in many districts where he emphasizes to the students & faculty, listen to your leader. He demonstrates the ability of the dog using both hand signals & voice commands. He has received awards such as “Officer of the Year” for distinguished service from the Texas Municipal Police Association, a state wide organization with approximately 9000 members. He has also received commendations for “Life Saving” and “K-9 Unit Citation” from the police department.

Jack's Passion

Jack working together with his police K-9, Egon, lead him to what he is truly passionate about & that is training dogs. In his presentations to groups, the main focal point is teamwork. Life is about working together as a team. His training revolves around this philosophy. All dogs are descendants of the wolf. All wolves travel in packs, and every pack has a social order. In every pack there is a leader or “Alpha” wolf. In this type training method, the handler/ owner becomes the “Alpha,” with the dog respecting the leader.
